A Shared Facility Between Institution and Industry
A Centre of Excellence is a shared facility between an institution and industry. It provides a platform for research, support and training in a focus area where there is a knowledge deficit.
The institute can set up a complete CoE under which there are several CoCs, or set up a few CoCs dedicated to a particular department — collaborating with PTC and CADOpt Technologies by offering a nominal contribution and facilitating institutional co-operation. The CoE strengthens R&D activities to support industry.
