PTC Creo 12.0
Creo 12 delivers major upgrades across design, simulation and manufacturing — enabling teams to work faster and collaborate more effectively. Key enhancements include industry-leading composite capabilities, expanded Model-Based Definition (MBD), improved real-time simulation and streamlined manufacturing workflows. It also integrates Creo models with material data in PTC's Windchill PLM system.
Usability and productivity
Creo 12 delivers customer-driven usability and productivity enhancements such as feature presets, assemblies driven from multi-body parts, and powerful updates to sheet metal design and the advanced surfacing module, that help streamline your daily work. Model tree management has never been easier, and a new divided surfaces function allows for even better analysis and definition. Sketcher, multibody, Freestyle and ECAD have all been improved to simplify and speed up your everyday work.
Advanced Composites Design & Manufacturing
Creo 12 delivers the world's most robust, scalable composite structure design capabilities with innovative tools that enable engineers to efficiently design, simulate and manufacture composite parts. You will realize faster, more accurate creation of solid geometry from composite layers, and can create an associative manufacturing reference model. You can also now merge plies from different zones, expanding your conceptual composite design capabilities.
Expanded model-based definition (MBD)
With Creo 12, engineers can use model-based techniques to deliver the right information to the right person at the right time. The program ensures that all product information is accurately defined within the 3D model and offers improved file export capability, including 3D PDF and STEP AP242, edition 3. Additionally, GD&T Advisor now supports Datum Reference Features and intent surfaces, and annotations are now easier to re-use.
Enhanced AI-Driven Generative Design and Improved Real-Time Simulation
Thermal physics have now been added to award-winning AI-driven generative design capabilities in Creo. Automatic contact creation in Ansys real-time simulation allows teams to iterate and optimize designs even faster. With Creo 12, engineers can leverage AI-powered generative design for thermal optimization studies, in addition to structural and modal analysis, and Creo 12 has also updated Ansys solvers (25R1) with simplified and improved results for both Creo Simulation Live and Creo Ansys Simulation.
Streamlined Manufacturing Workflows
As always, Creo is a fully integrated solution, driving the digital thread across every part of your organization. Design, simulation and manufacturing processes are all linked together through the 3D CAD model to ensure that any changes are made downstream throughout the entire product development process. Engineers can now use additive manufacturing with Creo 12 to design conformal cooling channels in injection molded tools for optimal results, with enhanced capabilities for connecting and customizing lattices, and subtractive manufacturing is now better than ever with undercut high-speed milling capabilities.
Design for Electrification
Creo 12 brings Creo's strength in assembly design to cable harnesses, simplifying collaboration and reducing the complexity of harness assemblies.
